ASPEED Technology
Mr. Chris Lin, Chairman and President of ASPEED Technology, has many years of experience in the SoC field. In 1993, as a member of Silicon Integrated Systems (SiS), Lin built a multimedia product R&D team. In May 2003, Lin led establishment of XGI Technology Inc., a spin-off from SiS, where he was responsible for graphics chip development and served as General Manager. Lin founded ASPEED Technology in 2004 and devoted the Company to BMC development. Lin was responsible for all aspects of the business, including product planning, production, sales, and marketing. In 2016, Lin led the acquisition of Broadcom’s Emulex Pilot™ BMC SoC business, which turned ASPEED Technology into the world’s largest supplier of BMC SoC. In 2020, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University recognized Lin as a Distinguished Alumnus. He received the Outstanding ICT Elite Award and was also honored as an Outstanding Alumnus of National Tsing Hua University in 2021. In 2023, he was presented with the ERSO Award by the Pan Wen Yuan Foundation; and he was selected as the Best CEO of Asia by the research institution Institutional Investor for two consecutive years in 2023 and 2024.
Mr. Charles Kuan holds a Master’s degree from the School of Communication and Information at Rutgers University in the United States. His prior experience includes roles at the US Sales Division of Acbel Technologies Inc, Acer’s marketing department, Sales Manager at Wistron Software, Account Manager at E-TEN Inc. (now Acer Gadget Inc), and Sales Director for Asia at Emerson Network Power (now Vertiv). With a strong background in product marketing and business development, Mr. Kuan joined ASPEED Technology in 2017 as Sales Director of the Cloud & Enterprise Sales Division, where he worked closely with the sales team to promote products and maintain customer relationships. In May 2025, he was promoted to Vice President of Sales at ASPEED Technology.
Mr. Paul Huang holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from National Tsing Hua University. He held a role in product development at SYSCOM Group and joined Silicon Integrated Systems (SiS) in 1995 as IC Design Manager in the Multimedia Department. In 2004, he and his original team established SMedia Corp., where he served as CTO overseeing multimedia SoC development. Following SMedia's merger with ITE Tech. in 2008, he continued as BU Head, leading multimedia SoC innovation. In 2018, he joined Quanta Computer as Deputy Director of the Advanced Research Cloud Lab, managing an FPGA team. With extensive experience in IC design and multimedia SoC R&D, Mr. Huang joined ASPEED Technology in 2021 as Senior Director of the Cloud Product Marketing Division, responsible for BMC product planning. In May 2025, he was promoted to Vice President of R&D.
Mr. Luke Chen, a graduate of the EMBA program at National Chengchi University, previously served as Vice President of Sales at ASPEED Technology, Assistant Vice President of Marketing at SiS and Deputy General Manager of Marketing at NITS Technology Inc. Chen has a strong academic and professional background in product marketing and business development. He has served as the Head of Sustainability Development Committee of ASPEED Technology since 2024.
Mr. Hung-Ju Huang, who holds Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at National Cheng Kung University, has extensive experience in hardware R&D. He is also one of the founding members of ASPEED Technology. Huang previously served as Senior R&D Manager at SiS and as Assistant Vice President of R&D at XGI Technology Inc., and Vice President of R&D at ASPEED Technology, where he oversaw all research and development operations. Upon reaching the retirement age, he stepped down from the role of Vice President of R&D in August 2022 and has since continued to serve as R&D Consultant.

Mr. CJ Hsieh, President of Cupola360 Inc., holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California. With nearly 30 years of extensive experience in the IC design and semiconductor industries, his distinguished career spans high-level management roles in global operations, procurement, R&D, and sales. In addition to his corporate leadership, Mr. Hsieh currently serves as the Co-Chairman of the SEMI Taiwan Test Committee and is a member of the Advisory Committee for the Taiwan International Semiconductor Executive Summit (TISES). His professional background includes serving as Chief Operating Officer of ASPEED Technology, General Manager of Intel Innovation Technologies, Global Vice President of Lantiq, and Associate Director of Faraday Technology, representing a comprehensive and robust expertise in chip R&D and manufacturing management. In recognition of his outstanding commitment to the industry, Mr. Hsieh was honored with the SEMI Industry Contribution Award for four consecutive years, from 2022 to 2025.
Dr. Darren Lu currently serves as the R&D Director at Cupola360 Inc. He holds a Ph.D. in Electronics Engineering from National Chiao Tung University. Since joining ASPEED Technology in 2010, Dr. Lu has served as Senior Department Manager of the Advanced Technology Development and Patent Department, where he led the algorithm team and oversaw intellectual property strategy. He has contributed to numerous individual and collective patents. In 2025, he was promoted to R&D Director, leading the SoC Product Development Center and the Advanced Technology R&D Center. Prior to joining ASPEED, Dr. Lu served as a Deputy Manager in the Advanced Technology Development Department at Silicon Integrated Systems (SiS), focusing on algorithm development. He also held a managerial position in the TV Chip Department at MediaTek, where he led his team in development of various television SoC solutions.
